2013 "Women to Watch" Recipients Announced
AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CPA’s AND KANSAS SOCIETY OF CPA’s ANNOUNCE 2013 “WOMEN TO WATCH” AWARD RECIPIENTS
Topeka –The Kansas Society of CPAs in conjunction with the American Institute of CPAS is proud to announce the 2013 “Women to Watch” award recipients.
Awards are given in two categories, Experienced Leaders & Emerging Leaders. An experienced leader is defined as a KSCPA / AICPA member who is in a higher level or leadership position within her organization, such as partner, owner, member, executive, elected official or appointee, etc. An emerging leader is defined as a KSCPA / AICPA member who is not yet in her highest level of advancement; however, she makes contributions to the profession and her community.
The recipients of the Experienced Leader award are: Becky Casey, department chair, accounting and computer information systems, Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg and Karen Linn, managing director, Berberich Trahan & Co., P.A. Topeka.
The recipients of the Emerging Leader award are: Chris Kibler, assistant general manager / director of finance, INTRUST Bank Arena, Wichita and Julie Wondra, manager, Adams Brown Beran & Ball, Chtd., McPherson.
Leslie Murphy, CPA, president and CEO, Murphy Consulting, Inc. will present the awards to the recipients during a luncheon at the Wichita Country Club on September 13, 2013. Aron Dunn, CPA, Chair of the KSCPA, will present awards and certificates to the nominees.
