Kansas IDA Tax Credits
Kansas IDA Tax Credits

The Individual Development Account (IDA) is a proven tool for breaking the bonds of poverty. Applicants must meet certain criteria, and work to save for their life changing goal.
Interfaith Housing Services, Hutchinson, Kan. wants to let Kansans know that if they donate to an IDA, they will receive a tax credit.
For example, if an individual or business donates $1,000 to Interfaith Housing Services, $750 would be subtracted from their Kansas income tax bill or added to their refund. In addition, the donor may be eligible to receive federal tax benefits if able to itemize.
Interfaith Housing receives $500,000 in Kansas Tax Credits annually, to exchange for donations from businesses and individuals for supporting the Kansas IDA program. Currently, Interfaith Housing has just under $200,000 left for 2011.
