Things You Need to Know

When you register for a program, you agree to comply with the KSCPA Registration Policies. Learn more about the policies including registration options, fees, cancellations and substitutions, attire, schedule, and special accommodations.

Registration Modifications:

Cancellations

Cancellations made sixty (60) days prior to the course will receive a full refund. A full refund, less a $50.00 administrative fee, is granted if notification of cancellation is received between 11 and 60 days prior. No refund is made if notice of cancellation is received one to ten days prior to course or conference date.

No Shows

Entire registration fee and materials are forfeited by no shows.

Transfers

Any transfers made one to ten days prior to course or conference day will incur a $50.00 administrative fee.

Substitutions

Substitutions of participants within the same firm are not subject to an administrative fee.

Materials:

Unless otherwise noted, Materials for all courses and conferences will be provided electronically at least one week prior to the course or conference date. Participants are responsible for printing their materials, but are encouraged to bring laptops or other mobile devices with them. If you do not receive your materials at least one week prior to the program, please contact the KSCPA at 785-272-4366.

CPE Credit:

CPE credit is granted to participants based on the times indicated on the sign-in/sign-out sheets provided at the registration tables at each KSCPA sponsored course and conference. It is the participant's responsibility to record accurate times on these sheets. In order to be eligible to receive full credit, participants must arrive on time and stay for the entire duration of the course or conference.

Certificates of Completion:

Certificates of completion will be e-mailed to participants within one week following the course. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure the KSCPA has an up-to-date e-mail address on file. Those who do not receive a certificate of completion within one week after a course or conference should contact the KSCPA directly at 785-272-4366.

If the fee for the program is not paid, the certificate of completion will be held until payment is received.

Program Details:

Topics, speakers, and programming are subject to change. Members already registered in the course or conference will be immediately notified of any changes.

Confirmations:

A confirmation will be sent via e-mail when your registration has been successfully processed. In the event your confirmation is not received, please contact the KSCPA at 785-272-4366.

Late Fees:

Any registration less than 10 days prior to the course will incur a $30 convenience fee.

AICPA Discount:

You must have an AICPA member number on file with the KSCPA or provide it with your registration in order to qualify for this discount. AICPA members who register for an AICPA/KSCPA sponsored program will receive a $30 per course discount off the applicable course fee for 8-hour courses and $15 per course discount off the applicable course fee for 4-hour courses. This discount is available until the date of the course and cannot be applied retroactively.

Conference Schedule:

Unless otherwise noted, all conferences convene at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 4:30 p.m. Registration opens thirty (30) minutes prior to the scheduled start of each conference, and an hour is allotted for lunch.

Seminar Schedule:

Unless otherwise noted, all seminars convene at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 4:00 p.m. Registration opens thirty (30) minutes prior to the scheduled start of each seminar. Lunch is scheduled for 30 minutes.

Attire:

Business casual - comfort is key. Due to fluctuations in meeting room temperatures, we recommend you dress in layers.

Special Accommodations:

If you have special dietary needs or require a special accommodation, please contact the KSCPA upon registration.

The KSCPA written (either electronic or printed) and oral presentation materials are intended to provide information about general subject matters and to help professionals maintain their professional competence. In providing these materials, the KSCPA and its presenters are not (1) providing information for the benefit of any specific client, (2) rendering accounting, legal, or other professional advice, or (3) creating a professional relationship between the presenter and attendees. In dealing with specific clients’ accounting matters, presentation attendees should conduct independent research and analysis to provide advice and services to their clients.

You agree that you will not hold the KSCPA or any of the presenters liable for any claim, cost, or damage, whether based on warranty, tort, contract, or other law, arising from or related to any professional development program, and its presentation and presentation materials. In no event shall the KSCPA or its presenters be liable to you for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, for loss of profits or loss of good will, or for costs or attorneys’ fees.

Any claim against the KSCPA or its presenters arising from any Dispute must be brought in Kansas state court.
