KSCPA Implements Vision and Strategies of the Leadership – The KSCPA operations are managed by a team of professionals in the Topeka office located at 114 SE 8th Ave. Technology is outsourced to Mike Reda, owner of SOFTWARE First!, and the governmental affairs are represented by Bright & Carpenter Consulting, LLC.

Meet the Team:

  • Natasha Schamberger Natasha Schamberger, CPA President/CEO

    Natasha is responsible for effectively executing the KSCPA’s strategic plan that outlines leadership’s vision to be a community that connects, innovates, advocates and learns. Further, Natasha promotes Kansas CPAs’ interests and livelihood by monitoring key issues and building strong relationships with regulators, policy makers and educators. Previously, Natasha served as Associate Director of Firm Services at AICPA and she spent nearly a decade in public accounting. She graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in accounting.

  • Karen Mitchell Karen Mitchell, CPA, CGMA Chief Financial Officer

    Karen is responsible for all financial aspects of the Society, Educational Foundation and the Political Action Committee. Karen is also responsible for the website, human resources, and day-to-day operations of the KSCPA and ensures the smooth and efficient operations of the administrative offices. Karen acts as staff liaison with independent audit and tax services provider(s).

  • Danielle Bulson Danielle Hologram, CAE Sr. Director of Membership & Career Development

    Danielle is responsible for managing member engagement strategies and initiatives focused on career development for KSCPA members. This includes developing strategies focused on increasing member participation and satisfaction, leading the creation of high-quality CPE learning programs and elevating KSCPA's Lead to the Future Leadership Program. Danielle also participates in outreach activities and events with universities, firms and organizations. Danielle stays in tune with profession topics, emerging trends and association best practices to ensure KSCPA remains the premier association for accounting professionals.

  • Rita Barnard Rita Barnard Manager, Analytics & Monitoring

    Rita closely monitors technical topics in the accounting profession at both the state and national level and identifies when issues arise that require member communication or further analysis and discussion with the CEO and volunteer member committees. Rita serves as the Ethics Committee Liaison as well as the Peer Review Liaison for the Peer Review Program of the AICPA. In addition, she collects data and performs analysis on various data sets including KSCPA communications, member engagement, profession trends and internal processes. Rita is also actively involved in monitoring legislative activities.

  • Liz Gaume Liz Gaume Membership Engagement Specialist

    Liz is responsible for creating engagement opportunities for members, developing and managing strategies that deliver value to members and overall membership stewardship. She is involved in all areas of member relations and engagement, including planning and leading member experiences at all KSCPA events and conferences, developing the overall year-round membership activity such as local and online engagement, and periodic committee meetings. Liz works collaboratively with all areas of the organization including meetings, marketing and communications, advocacy and career development.
