But the real unlock is capability: building repeatable workflows, executive-ready deliverables, governance, and reusable systems. That’s augmentation: AI doesn’t replace the professional—it expands what the professional can reliably deliver. This course is a practical, workflow-first session for accounting and finance professionals who want to move beyond isolated prompt usage and build repeatable, high-quality ways of working. The course focuses on using core ChatGPT tools—Advanced Data Analysis, Deep Research, Canvas, Web Search, Custom GPTs, Projects, and Connectors—to strengthen analysis, improve deliverable quality, standardize outputs, and elevate decision support across common accounting/finance responsibilities.

Course Objectives

· Identify the difference between task-based Gen AI use and workflow-based capability in accounting and finance.

· Apply ChatGPT tools (Advanced Data Analysis, Deep Research, Canvas, Projects, and Custom GPTs) to create a repeatable workflow that produces an executive-ready deliverable.

· Determine the governance and validation steps required for reliable Gen AI–augmented outputs.

-- Form 10-K analysis workflow using Advanced Data Analysis (ADA)

--Excel workflow acceleration using a Custom GPT

· Standardizing deliverables for executive audiences (structure, clarity, consistency)

· Governance-by-design: data boundaries, validation checks, traceability/citations, review gates
