The course will cover reporting on appraisal matters, finding and screening appraisers and professional standards. Costs and timelines for appraisal projects will be covered.

The content will provide an overview of the cannabis industry and unique issues that confront valuators in this industry.

  • Gain an understanding of how market data is used and abused in valuing cannabis entities
  • Understand the difference between a Calculation of Value and a formal Conclusion of Value
  • Follow an example of using an Income Approach under the Discounted Cash Flows method of valuation for a cannabis cultivation facility
  • Identify resources available to assist in due diligence and valuation engagements
