CPE Policies + Requirements

Things You Need to Know

When you register for a program, you agree to comply with the KSCPA Registration Policies. The policies, including registration options, fees, refunds, attire, schedule, and special accommodations are outlined below.

Refunds
To cancel a registration and receive a refund, contact the KSCPA at 785-272-4366 before the day of the event. Transfers to another event or to another person in the same firm are also options if done at the time of cancellation or before the start of the event, whichever is earlier.

No Shows
No shows forfeit the entire registration fee and materials.

Cancellation of an Event
In the rare instance that the KSCPA needs to cancel an event, all registrants will be notified and allowed to transfer to another event or obtain a refund.

Access to Webcasts and Videocasts
You will receive an email with access instructions to KSCPA videocasts from the KSCPA at least 48 hours prior to the start time. The access email will contain the link to the materials. An email with instructions for downloading the certificate of attendance will be sent following the event. For learning provided by vendors other than the KSCPA, login information, materials, and CPE certificates will be provided directly to the registrant by the vendor.

Group Viewing
If you are interested in watching a KSCPA videocast as a group, please email rita@kscpa.org for a group sign-in sheet and instructions on how to verify group CPE. For learning provided by vendors other than the KSCPA, please reach out to the vendor using the contact information provided under Other Vendor CPE Policies.

CPE Credit
CPE credit is granted to participants based on the attendance verification. It is the participant's responsibility to complete attendance verification. In order to be eligible to receive full credit, participants must arrive on time and stay for the entire duration of the offering. For KSCPA offerings, a pop-up prompt will appear approximately every 15 minutes during the broadcast over the video. Attendees will need to click "OK" on the prompt to verify that they are watching.

Materials
Unless otherwise noted, materials for all offerings will be provided electronically at least 3 days prior to the event date. Participants are responsible for downloading or printing their materials.

Yellow Book Credit
Certain offerings or sessions may qualify for Yellow Book CPE credit. Determining which courses or sessions qualify for the Yellow Book 24-hour requirement are made on an auditor-specific basis depending on the auditor's Yellow Book clients. Please visit www.gao.gov/yellowbook for specific requirements.

Certificates of Completion
Instructions for downloading the certificates of completion will be emailed to participants within one week following the offering. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure the KSCPA has an up-to-date email address on file.

If the fee for the program is not paid, the certificate of completion may be held until payment is received.

Program Details
Topics, speakers, and programming are subject to change. Individuals already registered for the offering will be notified of any changes.

Confirmations
A confirmation will be sent via email when your registration has been successfully processed. In the event your confirmation is not received, please contact the KSCPA at 785-272-4366.

Conference Schedule
Check-in for most classes begins at 8:00 am, and most full-day courses run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Specific course times are indicated in the course catalog.

Attire
Business casual - comfort is key. Due to fluctuations in meeting room temperatures, we recommend you dress in layers.

Special Accommodations
If you have special dietary needs or require special accommodations, please contact the KSCPA upon registration.

Photo and Media Release
By attending any KSCPA event, you understand that you may be photographed or videotaped and permit the Kansas Society of CPAs to use your likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media. This includes any and all of the KSCPA's publications, including, but not limited to social media, web-based publications, or email marketing, without payment or other consideration. Should you decide you do not wish to have your likeness recorded for distribution, you will make your wishes known to KSCPA staff prior to the event.

In providing these materials, the KSCPA and its presenters are not (1) providing information for the benefit of any specific client, (2) rendering accounting, legal, or other professional advice, or (3) creating a professional relationship between the presenter and attendees. You agree that you will not hold the KSCPA or any presenters liable for any claim, cost, or damage, whether based on warranty, tort, contract, or other law, arising from or related to any professional development program and its presentation and presentation materials. In no event shall the KSCPA or its presenters be liable to you for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages for loss of profits or loss of goodwill, or costs or attorneys' fees.
